Experts in complex systems

At Code Power, we pride ourselves on delivering cutting-edge software solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations. That expertise stems from years of designing and building intricate video games for top-level companies in the gaming industry and architecting and developing complex infrastructure and data systems for the esports industry. We honed our skills creating systems that require cutting-edge security, scalability, and user experience.

Today, we leverage that experience to engineer software solutions that go beyond gaming, tackling complex challenges in a wide range of industries. From scalable cloud infrastructure to robust security protocols, we have the expertise to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the demands of any industry.

Our gaming origins

Code Power was born out of the mind of a group of gaming enthusiasts. Not only did they work in the gaming industry spearheading the development of exciting new experiences, but first and foremost they also had a gamer spirit that drove them to be part of the nascent esports phenomenon. As fate would have it, it was during their gaming sessions that Code Power’s founders came up with the idea for the company.

Discussing how the cubicle culture had grown outdated with its inflexible approach to work and its disinterest in true professional development, they realized that gaming offered them a better alternative. Basically, the idea was to port the way they played games to a business environment by combining online tools, remote technology, and a people-first approach.

Those gaming origins were the robust foundations on which we built the unique Code Power approach. Looking back, we can say that we’re proud of our gaming roots, as they showed us we can tackle complex challenges while being innovative, creative and, most importantly, while having fun.

We power the world's most ambitious companies

What gaming taught us

While some might think of gaming as just a fun pastime, we know that the skills and experiences we gained from developing games have been invaluable to our work today.

Overall, our gaming origins have given us a unique set of skills and experiences that we bring to every project we tackle. Most importantly, gaming has instilled a playful spirit in us that fuels our passion for developing digital systems.

Here are just a few of the things that gaming taught us:

Gamification

Games are all about creating something enjoyable and engaging, a mindset we bring to our work. We know that people are more likely to use and engage with user-friendly and enjoyable software, so we strive to incorporate game-inspired features into our solutions while also using them to inform our internal processes.

Complex systems

Game development often involves creating complex systems that work together seamlessly. This skill has been crucial in our work with software development, where we need to create high-performing applications that can handle a huge amount of data and processes in the most efficient and secure way possible.

High demands

The gaming industry is incredibly competitive, with high demands for quality and innovation. We’ve learned to work under pressure and deliver results that exceed the expectations of one of the most exigent audiences in the world. This translates perfectly to our work in software development, where we’re often under tight deadlines and need to produce high-quality products that meet multiple requirements.

Curiosity

Game development requires constant experimentation and exploration to keep players engaged. We bring that same curiosity and willingness to try new things to our work in software development, as we are always on the lookout for new and better ways to solve problems.

Passion

Gamers are passionate about what they do, and that passion is infectious. We bring that same fiery level of passion to our work, always striving to do our best and create products that we can be proud of.

Communal sense

Games often involve teamwork, and we’ve learned to work well with others in order to achieve a common goal. Additionally, a lot of games (especially those in esports) encourage collaboration to achieve results. As gamers ourselves, we have developed that communal sense and we put it to good use to work closely with clients and colleagues and build products that meet everyone’s needs.

The gaming edge

Gaming has opened the door for us to become better engineers. It helped us define our people-first approach, cemented our development processes, and elevated our technical and soft skills. It also invited us to tighten our bonds as a team and inspired us to always chase our goals with passion and determination.

Aside from that, it taught us insightful lessons about successfully doing business. The video game sector is a multi-billion dollar industry that caters to all kinds of audiences, markets itself cleverly, and understands how to evolve to keep people engaged. We learned those lessons and embedded them into our daily operations to propel us forward.

That’s why we say we have a gaming edge. But the best part is that you can take advantage of that edge, too. Because we have evolved our company from those gaming roots to better serve our customers and reimagine together what digital solutions can be. Let’s discuss your projects and allow us to show you how that gaming spirit can transform your company, too.
